That's it. This week I probably had my last show on the stage when I delivered a lecture in the official Windows Vista release conference in Tel Aviv.
It's been a very successful conference - more than 1800 people came to hear and see what we had to say about Windows Vista, Office 2007 and Exchange 2007.
The opening session was quite nice with a real treat of a live demo of Exchange 2007 voice services. You got to see it to believe it. One of the most cool things I have ever seen. I definitely want one!
When preparing to my lecture I got a brand new HP laptop with Vista from Microsoft. I know that I'm kind of biased, but still, I must say that I really enjoyed working with it.
Yes. There isn't one really huge feature you that gets you fall from your chair, but there are tens of small improvements that simply makes your life easier (Not to mention the cool Aero glass effect :)). If you plan to buy a new laptop soon, I really recommend you to wait a little and buy one with Vista on it.
I had a wonderful time in the last years delivering lectures on stage. From Dev days to TechEd to hundreds of others, I really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed working with the great people at Microsoft who worked so hard to make those conventions a success story. I will probably miss it, but right now I need to focus on my company success.
I hope that further along the road, I will have the chance to do it again.
