Wow. After a long time without nothing new to hear, I got so many new promising albums. So if you are looking for something new to hear is are the albums you really got to check:

• James Blunt - All the lost souls: The new album by James Blunt is simply brilliant. Like his first album, it is full of soulful ballads with soft rock touches.
• Faithless - Forever Faithless, The greatest Hits: New version of the greatest hits album of this amazing band. This one includes some great mixes of old time favorites.
• Luciano Pavaroti - The Best (Farewell tour):The master of opera is gone and we are left with this new compilation of his greatest moments.
• Kanye West - Graduation: master of hip hop finally release a new album and this is a truly reason to go party.
• Diana Krall - The Very Best: New compilation for lady of Jazz.
• Chamillionaire - Ultimate Victory: If you don't know this guy, you definitely need to check his raging hip hop right away.

Just saw a cool demo at the Techrunch40 conference of a startup named Xobni (inbox reverse).

Xobni give you great way to explore your mail and contacts. I definitely going to try their beta...

 

Search People Inside Videos

Wow. What a cool demo by Viewdle!
Viewdle is a new search engine for people inside videos. They use face recognition technology to find people inside videos. That allows you to search for example for all videos where Madonna and Jason Timberlake appears together.

Powerset at Tehcrunch40

Finally Powerset is going to provide access to some of their technologies. Powerset just announced Powerset Labs, a new beta site where users can test their new search tools. They promised that all attendees of the conference will get early access to the site.
Although the search tool seems impressive, I still got to wonder if they could get good results also after they will index a large set of the web...

Intelligent Ads From Google

A few weeks ago Google said they will start to target better their search based ads, and today I saw it happen for me.
I wanted to search for a Flash based map control so I initially searched for "Flash map control".
The search results I got were very bad, so I decided to look for flash controls vendor in general and searched for "Flash Controls".

For my surprise the ads that I got this time were actually showing me map controls, meaning Google remembered what I searched just minutes ago, and intelligently concluded I'm still searching for the same thing just with different key words.

This is a small but very powerful change for how Google Ads works.
