OK. I got to warn you first that I'm writing this at 5 am as I'm still in jet lag and can't sleep, so bare with me please...
I just got to Israel after flying for almost 22 hours. During the flight I kept thinking on one thing: How come that in 2008 it is still so hard to get from one place to another on this planet.
I mean, if someone would have asked you in 1990 how flights will look like in 2010, we would probably suggest flying taxis or something.
Don't you find it strange that during the last 20 years, we has so many remarkable technology leaps in every aspect of life besides transportation? We still basically drive the same cars, fly the same airplanes and use the same fuel.
I want get into conspiracy theories about the oil companies blocking any progress, but you still got to admit that something is just wrong here.
We can probably already assume that transportation in 2015 won't look anything like "Back to the Future 2" movie predicted, but I still hope that we will have some sort of progress in making the world more accessible to everyone.
