yes. I know. It's easy to go down on Microsoft for anything Vista related. It's like taking a candy from a child. But still... I just got to do that this time...
When Windows Vista was just released I upgraded to it from XP. After two months I decided to downgrade back to XP.
Vista as just terrible. So many things were just so slow. Starting with simple file management tasks and going to browsing the web.
True, I got to admit, two months ago I decided to give Vista another shot and was surprised for good to see that it function much better now. It seems that some of the released updates indeed solved many problems.
This week Microsoft announced the release of the release candidate version of Service Pack 1 for Vista. It's truly amazing to look at the list of updates included in SP1. Here is just a small example:
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm happy to see that Microsoft is fixing all these stuff. But wouldn't you think that when you work on an operating system for 5 years you would be able to nail simple file copy from start?? :)
Anyway, let's hope that post SP1 Vista will finally be the operating system we waited for for such a long time.
